あらすじ 第3話 「田植唄」
母トヨハナの残した農書を頼りに稲作を開始したサクナ。
田起こしを済ませ、苗を育て、田植えを開始するが、慣れない稲作に悪戦苦闘する。
それに加え食事も不十分で一向に改善しない生活と、途方もない米作りへの道のりに、サクナは嫌気がさして逃げだしそうになってしまう。

That joke with Tauemon trying to get in the hut was hilarious, and the cut from Sakuna being all chipper about planting the rice to looking like a worn-out wagie had great timing.

It will if the water is too high and gets the flowers/grains wet. Funnily enough, a lot of people think rice HAS to grow in a patty, but the patty is more of a pest deterrent to keep various insects, birds, and mammals away. You can grow rice just like wheat if you wanted to. It’s just more efficient to grow it in 6 inches of water.

ゲームでは彼がサクナのそばにいる数少ないキャラの一人なんだけど、やってることはただのアドバイザーで、サクナにはもう全然必要ないんだよね。神の力も特に持ってないし、ただの役立たずの大食いキャラにしか見えない。
それにしても、彼がかいまるやミルテと一緒にサクナにウサギの鬼を飼うように強制したのを覚えてる？それと、彼がを「一緒に座って食事をしながら話せば…」ってサクナに約束させたのも。結局どうなった？ゲームでは2回も「殺さないで友達になろう」ってサクナの判断を無視して、そのたびにサクナの顔に泥を塗る結果に。
田右衛門は好きだけど、やっぱりお荷物だよね。
tauemon is an unfixable shitter though It really do be like that.
And it’s funny in the game because he’s one of the few that stays with Sakuna, but all he ever does is act as her advisor, which she doesn’t need in the least anymore. He doesn’t even seem to have developed any Godly powers except to be more of a useless glutton.
And speaking of being a useless glutton, remember how he supported Kaimaru and Myrthe in forcing Sakuna to keep the Demon Rabbit? And remember how he guilted Sakuna into promising to spare Ishimaru “If we can just sit down, share a meal and talk…”? How’d those work out for him? Two times the game pulls the “No, let’s not kill them, we can all be friends” thing against Sakuna’s better judgement and both times blow up in her face
I like the guy, but he is deadweight.

The others did mention he eats twice what a normal man eats, and he does mention that occasionally he feels extraordinary hunger and can eat a riceball more than usual when the others mention their little glimpes of godhood. It’s simple. He’s the god of manure/fertilization.

Brazil have lots of Japanese descendants in agriculture but they seems to be in more lucrative areas. I think rice and other grains are made in large scale mechanized farming in Brazil instead of many small paddies. The videos of humans planting had a guy tossing pre germinated seeds around and let them grow directly instead of the careful process Japanese do. I guess it is the difference of trying to grow the best quality rice vs maximizing rice production per work force.
