あらすじ 第6話 「恨みの炎」
秋を迎え、稲穂に覆われている田。
風が流れ揺れる稲穂。
喜ぶサクナを前に、田右衛門は収穫まで油断は出来ないと話す。
そんな時、大きな地震が起こる。
川も濁り様子がおかしい。
多くの鬼が火山に向かっていたという報告もあり、サクナは火山に向かうことに。

In the game, you were suppose to crash the ashigumo skellies/enemies to the boss’s chest right? I remembered struggling a bit with this boss since I barely did any damage.

俺はただ攻撃を連打してたけど、たぶんそれが正しいやり方なんだろうな。アホなカワウソどもはクラッシュ攻撃やアンデッド特効以外にはほとんど耐性があるから、相当レベルが高くない限りダメージが通らないし。
I just spammed attacks until it opened up, but that probably is the intended way to do the fight considering the stupid otters are almost completely immune to non-crash/undead bane damage unless you’re seriously overleveled.

Rising carp from my experience does reduced damage to the ashigumo specters, even with the undead avenger weapons equipped.
Sure it’ll knock them around when sufficeiently leveled up, but that’s just knocking them about without crashing. Just setting them up for air attacks.

You’re right, specters are resistant to magic damage, which is what rising carp inflicts. In practice though, a fully upgraded one does so much damage that it still works.

回想シーンからすると、ガマガエル戦は平和的に解決したみたいだな。ガマカエルはただそこに座って油を鍋に滴らせてるだけだし。魚ボス戦では修道女の毒が助けてくれた。収穫が一度だけで火山をクリアするのは本当にクレイジーだと思う。最初の収穫で玄米を作って、早い段階で皆をしっかり食べさせることを優先してるのを見せてほしかったけど、12話じゃ限界があるよな。このアニメは彼女が農業を学んで米の質を上げていくのをモンタージュで見せる時間経過があればもっと良くなったと思う。今の進行速度だと、あれがまだ起こる必要があるから、二度目の収穫が見られるかどうかも怪しい。ゲームの展開の時間軸を見せるためには、3～4回の収穫は必要だと思うんだよな。
From the flashback it looks like she solved the frog fight peacefully considering it just sits there and drips oil into a pot for her. Fish boss she had the nun’s poison to help her. Finishing volcano with only one harvest is genuinely insane though. I kinda wish they made brown rice with the first harvest to show she prioritizes keeping everyone well fed early on, but 12 episodes is pretty limiting. One of the few shows I think actually could have benefited from having a montage timeskip to show her learning to cultivate better and the rice quality going up. At the rate the show is progressing, I don’t even know if we’ll get a second harvest considering THAT still needs to happen. I feel like the show needs to have at least 3-4 harvests to show the timescale at which things unfold in the game.

whats weird is they said in an earlier ep that it’ll take ten years of cultivation before they’re growing enough rice to sustain themselves, which is about how long an average playthrough is

They said that before Tauemon worked out the deal with Ashigumo for the field at the base of the mountain. They were only counting the small field at the top which didn’t even yield a full harvest. Of course it’s kind of handwavey and convenient, but so it was in the game.

I think it is more than just eating the offerings but the fact that she grew the rice as well. Their actions reflect on the mortal realm so I guess her growing rice makes harvests in the mortal realm better as well. Also she likely was powered down due to her negligence. She is likely gaining the divine powers she should have as a goddess to begin with.
