王城では戦勝パーティが開催されていた。

しかし、賑わいとは裏腹に、ついに王都に居残る手段が尽きたカズマは、アイリスとお別れしなければならない悲しみに萎れていた。

そんなカズマのもとにクリスがやってきて、衝撃の事実を告げる。

カズマとアイリスの身体を入れ替えたネックレスは神器であり、使い方によっては命を脅かす危険なものだと。

アニメ版がまたやらかしやがった。原作やマンガでカズマがやっためちゃくちゃカッコいいことをスキップしやがった。

具体的には、レインの杖を狙撃して、彼女の追跡魔法をブロックしたんだ。

これが凄いってのは、カズマがめちゃくちゃ早く反応して矢を放ち、しかも真っ暗闇の中でレインの杖の魔法をチャネリングする小さな部分を的中させたからってわけ。アニメ版では、クリスが彼女に沈黙の呪文をかけるっていう、よっぽど地味な選択をしたんだよな。

マジでどういうこっちゃ。アニメはいつも原作に比べて大がかりなシーンをもっとカッコよくする癖に、今回はめっちゃつまらなくしてんじゃん。

Also, another cool thing the Kazuma did in the novels/manga that the anime skipped out on:

Sniping Rain’s staff specifically to cockblock her pursuit spell

This was noted to be an impressive feat because Kazuma shot the arrow in response quite quickly, hit such a small target (i.e. the magic channeling part of Rain’s staff) and did it in complete darkness.
The anime opted for the much lamer option of Chris just casting silence on her.

Man, what’s the fucking deal here. The anime had a habit of making these big setpiece scenes much cooler compared to the original source material. This time, they’re making things much lamer.

確かに今シーズンはマジでひどい。過去のシーズンでは、いくつかのシーンを飛ばしてもまだ結構良かったのに、今回のは本当にダメだ。お前が言った通り、今回はただただつまらない。

それに、ドレインタッチなんて囲まれてる時にはそんなに強力じゃない。カズマはいつもドレインタッチを不意を打って使うか、相手がバインドで動けなくなってる時や、土で目隠しされてる時にしか使ってないんだよな。

This whole season is terrible. The past seasons are quite good despite skipping some scenes but like you said, this one is just lame.
Also drain touch isn’t all that powerful when you’re surrounded. Kazuma only used either as a surprise or when the opponent is already incapacitated with bind or blinded with earth.

from darkness POV it’ll be something something royal purity or some shit. kazuma on the other hand, fears darkness might actually kill him over it. objectively speaking, though, returning the ring would hinder kazuma’s goal of getting closer to iris since she knows he took the ring from her.

普段アニメのエピソードに点数をつけることはないけど、この回は俺にとって9/10だったな。いくつかもっと見たかったシーンはあったけど、カズマの強盗中のかっこよさはマジでヤバかった。完全に期待に応えてくれたよ。

I typically never give scores for anime episodes but this one was a 9/10 for me. There’s a couple bits I would have preferred to see, but Kazuma was cool as fuck during the heist. Absolutely lived up to the hype.
