あらすじ 第7幕 「神の天秤と草原の魔術師」
ミローネ商会から報酬として手に入れた胡椒を売るため、ロレンスたちはポロソンへと赴いた。
商売ばかりで退屈だと文句ばかりのホロだったが、ロレンスが語る果物のはちみつ漬けの話に目を輝かせる。
その後、胡椒の換金のために訪れたラトペアロン商会で、順調に価格交渉を進めるが、ホロは揺れる秤を鋭い視線で見つめていた。

If you have the same wight on each side, the horizontal bar stay parallel to the ground, not to the table, because that’s how physics work.
If you then tilt the table, the scales will appear to be unblanced when they actually are balanced because now the reference (the table) is off.
So you have to add or remove weights on one side to make them look like they’re balanced (when they actually are not).

This episode was much better than in the original. The new actor who played the Swindler reacted much more realistically when Lawrence asked him to buy his armor.

原作を見ていた時、羊飼いの女の子が何故ホロを怒らせ、なぜ狼たちが魔法のように退散したのか理解できなかったんだ。このアニメに対する最終的な評価は、ここでより分かりやすく説明されているかどうかにかかっている。羊飼いって魔法使いなの？エピソードの始まりで狼たちがなぜすぐ獲物を襲わなかったの？小さな犬じゃ何もできないよ。
When I was watching the original, I couldn’t understand what was so special about the shepherd girl that made Horo angry and wolves magically turn away. My final verdict on the anime will depend on whether it’s explained better here or not. Are shepherds magical? Why didn’t the wolves in the start of the episode just go RIP AND TEAR mode? One little dog ain’t gonna do shit.

このアニメについてはよく分からないけど、実際には狼たちは自分たちのうち一匹でも危険にさらされる可能性がある場合、めったに攻撃しません。それはすべて位置取りと威嚇に関わっています。動物としての狼は、ノーラを小柄で弱々しい女の子とは理解しないでしょう。彼らにとっては、危険があるかもしれない生き物として見えるはずです。また、彼女の羊はまだ開けた場所にいましたが、それは通常狼の群れが攻撃するような場所には見えません。

Dunno about this anime but in real life, wolves rarely attack if even one of them could get in danger. It’s all about positioning and intimidation. As animals wolves probably wouldn’t be able to comprehend Nora as a little frail girl. They should see possibly dangerous creature. Also her sheep were still out in the open area which just doesn’t seem like a place where pack of wolves would usually attack.
