あらすじ Episode 12 「前を向いて」
校内放送で有希に後れを取ったアーリャは、終業式での生徒会役員あいさつに向けて練習をし始める。
終業式という全校生徒が集まる場で行われる生徒会役員あいさつは、実質的に生徒会長選挙の立候補者演説と同義。
緊張が止まらないアーリャに、政近はある秘策を授ける。
そして終業式が始まり、生徒会役員あいさつがスタート。
有希と綾乃が堂々としたスピーチをこなした後、遂にアーリャが演台へと上がって……。

最近読んだところによると、一部は翻訳ミスらしい。日本の「風邪」は実際にはインフルエンザとかそれに近いもので、普通の風邪じゃないらしい。「風邪」って言葉が普通の風邪にもインフルエンザにも訳せるから、意味に曖昧さがあるんだ。でも、アニメやマンガで描かれるときは多分後者を指してるんだろうね。
From what I recently read, it’s partly a translation error. What people refer to the Japanese cold is actually the flu or something similar and not the common cold, the issue is that the Japanese word for cold (風邪) can translate to the common cold or the flu, and there’s ambiguity in the meaning. However, when anime and manga show it, they probably mean the latter.

He was right. Her speech was retarded. It just takes me out of suspension of disbelief that the whole school body was cheering for that trainwreck of a speech and was supposed to be some high bar to climb over for Alya.
She talked a lot of bull and asid absolutely nothing of real substance.

Think back to when you were in school, how smart your peers were, and how good even the top echelon of students were at writing/speaking. Yuki’s speech was the exact type of shit that a high school student council member would say in their campaign speech.
