ここが、私たちの居場所だから
数千を超える学校で形成された巨大な学園都市「キヴォトス」。

They know that’s the only one people actually care about so they’re saving sensei’s PV for last, right before the anime airs. They still haven’t gone through all the character pv commercials yet. They start with the least important and go down the list to the ones people most care about.
They may even pull a trick like idolmaster anime did at first. Start off PoV and reveal sensei at the end of the first episode.
Anime previews already mentions sensei in the blurbs, they say sensei is going to be there, but they’re trying to hide it until right near the end. The reason they hide sensei is obvious, it’s marketing. You want people talking about and arguing about the product just like people are naturally doing right now, the longer you can have them debate whether sensei is happening the more people are talking about it. Don’t give them what they want that easily, keep them talking.

About 50 hours worth of main story text so far.
It’s fairly easy to catch up on because it’s all unlocked from the start and doesn’t require grinding since the story has you use story characters to clear quests rather than your own characters. There’s about five main volumes of the main story, each volume stars a different school and goes over their issues as sensei fixes the problems of each school, while the final volume brings all the schools together to prevent a world ending crisis.
Or you can just search “blue archive main story” on YouTube and read it all without downloading the game.

Sensei is the heart of the story, it doesn’t seem like it at first but he is. Directors are going to want to try to get rid of him, but there’s no bigger mistake they could make than getting rid of sensei or downplaying him hard and making it a Yuri show instead.
Sensei doesn’t always need to be on screen and it shouldn’t always focus on him, but he’s the core of what makes it work out. Like the producer in an idolmaster story, he’s more important than you think.

I don’t mind if they give Sensei a generic MC face, so long as they’re actively doing shit. I just don’t want them to be invisible or not actually there.
