あらすじ 第4幕 「夢見がちな商人と月明りの別れ」
ホロの助言により、ゼーレンの持ち掛けた銀貨切り上げ話のからくりに気付くことができたロレンス。
この企みから利益を得ようと、ミローネ商会の支店長マールハイトに情報を渡し、協力を取りつける。
今回の利益で自分の店をもつ夢に近づいたと浮かれるロレンスをよそに、ホロはどこか寂しそうな顔を見せる。

I get the vibe Isuna was watching a lot of live-action medieval movies while studying Economics, rather than just consuming mainstream anime at the time, it really uses almost none of the tropes.

Well-said anon. I thought the same when I watched the original in the last couple years for the first time. Aside from being well-written, I chalk it up primarily to them both being mature adults who are each wise in separate ways.
So far I’m so pleased with this remake. I hope they can pull off anything approaching the cutest bit of the original when the time comes.

I thought the point of Holo giving Lawrence some of her wheat is that so she can easily escape/teleport to wherever Lawrence is with her wolf magic if she gets captured, but apparently it doesn’t work that way?

ラノベの後半では、小麦は全く重要ではなくなります。どうやら作者は第1巻で何か使い道があるか試してみたけど、テレポートができるのならば物語の都合が良すぎるからやめたみたいですね。変身するためにも必要ないみたいですし。パスロエでいた頃やロレンスとの出会いを思い出すために持っているのかもしれませんね。
in the later parts of the light novels the wheat is not important at all. seems the writer added it for book 1 to see if he could do anything with it and dropped it since it is a narrative ass pull if she can teleport. She also does not need it to transform. I figure she keeps it to remember her time in pasloe/meeting lawrence

ラノベの序盤で、伝説としてのホロには既に物語があるんだけど、現在の問題を解決するために「人を殺す」という選択肢が常にある。でも、それは社会からの隔離を意味してしまう。ホロはロレンスと別れるか、ロレンスがホロと一緒に世捨て人のような生活を強いられることになる…それが悪いわけではないけど、ロレンスには自分の夢があるんだよ。
The LN adresses somewhere early on, even as a myth Holo already has stories about her, there’s always the option to “just kill people” to solve a current problem, but that would mean living ostracized from society, Holo would either have to part ways with Lawrence or Lawrence would be dragged along into a caveman lifestyle with Holo… which doesn’t sound terrible but Lawrence has his own dreams.

Also, lets talk economics. What’s the plan for each of the companies attempting to profit from the coin? Swindlers want other merchants to amass coin under pretence that its’ remint will have more silver, meaning you can buy cheaper coin now and later exchange with new more valuable coin 1:1. How are swindlers profiting from this though?
And how will Milone profit from knowing the scheme?

After merchants amass enough silver, it will become known that the value of the coins is dropping, not increasing. Swindlers then profit from panicked merchants trying to get rid of their bad investment, somehow

詐欺師たちは、すでに競合する通貨（おそらくフィリング銀貨）の在庫を持っており、トレニー銀貨の価値が下落したことが明らかになると、商人たちが彼らとの交換を急ぐのを待っています。トレニー銀貨が無価値であることが明らかになった時点で、フィリング銀貨の価値が上がることから利益を得ることができます。しかし、ミローネ商会が価値が下がる前に高価値のトレニー銀貨を集めることでどのように対抗したり利益を得たりできるのかは分かりません。
What I could come up with on the swindlers end is that they already have a stockpile of competing currency (Philling coin probably) and are waiting for merchants to rush to exchange with them once it’s found out the Trenni is devalued. They can profit off of the higher valuation of the Philling coin once it’s found out that the competing Trenni coin is trash. I don’t know how Milione can counter/profit by amassing high current value Trenni before it gets devalued though.

They speculated that a nobleman is backing this plan, so by buying up the low value silver coin, the nobleman can melt those and produce their own brand of silver coins that are of higher value, like how it was explained last episode how some nobles are able to make up their own type of silver coins.
