あらすじ 第8話 「都を揺るがす米騒動」
サクナたちが作り「天穂（あまほほ）」 と名づけた米は都でも評判になっていた。
しかし、ある日峠に現れた瀬守神（せもりがみ）は天穂が人を惑わす危険な米だと流通を禁じられていることを告げる。
サクナ達は、自分たちの米の評判に傷をつけようとした者が米に細工をしているのを察すると、更にココロワヒメにその嫌疑がかけられていると知る。
それを信じようとしないサクナは都に戻り真犯人を突き止めようとするが…

ボス戦をスキップせず、悪い米のシーンをさらにドラマチックにした。この改変はゲームファンが繰り返しで退屈しないようにしている。いい感じだけど、終盤へのペース配分が気になるな。
Didn’t skip the boss fight and made the entire bad rice sequence more dramatic. This adaptation keeps things fresh enough that the fans of the game aren’t completely bored because of repetition. I like what they are doing, but I am curious how they will pace the endgame for the show.

俺はゲームの方が断然好きだな。トップの神様もサクナや他のキャラと同じように「人間味」があって欠点があるって感じがよく伝わった。先代のカムヒツキもただサクナの両親の力を恐れて戦争を望んだ愚か者だったって話と繋がってるし。
I much prefer the game. It sort of hammered home that the head honcho is just as “human” and flawed as Sakuna and the gang, which ties into how the previous Kamuhitsuki was a moron and wanted a war with Sakuna’s parents just because they were afraid of how powerful they were.

ゲーム版だとカムヒツキがちょっとバカっぽく見えたな。アニメの解決方法の方が満足感あったし、サクナの成長を見せる良い機会でもあった。
I thought the game version made Kamuhitsuki look kinda dumb. The anime resolution was more satisfying and was a good chance to showcase Sakuna’s growth too.

この話の最後はゲームよりずっと良かった。ゲームではサクナとココロワが船に乗る前に桟橋で会って、ココロワが定期的に島を訪れて助けると約束するだけで、船に飛び乗って島に完全に移住するわけではなかった。アニメのスタッフは本当に彼女が好きなんだな。
The end of the episode was much better than in the game. There Sakuna and Kokorowa meet on the pier before Sakuna boards the ship, and Kokorowa just promises to regularly visit the island to help as opposed to jumping on the ship and moving to the island entirely. The anime staff must really like her.

彼女はサクナの隣で誇りを持って立つにふさわしい存在になりたかった。
サクナの側に立ちたいという彼女の願いは、カムヒツキによって設定された恣意的な企業官僚制度によって歪められた。
だから最終的には、すべては米好きのせいだった。そして、彼女は多分宇宙人（ayy）でもあるんだろう。
Deep down, Kokorowa didn’t want to surpass Sakuna.
She wanted to be worthy enough to stand proud next to Sakuna.
Her desire to stand by Sakuna’s side got corrupted by the arbitrary corporate bureaucracy set up by Kamuhitsuki.
So ultimately, it was all the rice glutton’s fault. And she’s probably an ayy too.

かわいいエピソードだったね。彼女のドラマをうまく扱っていたと思う。この作品の感情的なイベントには目がないんだ。アニメが子供の頃の彼らの関係を見せることで、追加のバックストーリーを提供してくれるのもうれしい。
Cute episode, I think they handled her drama well. I’m a sucker for all the emotional events this series does. I appreciate the extra backstory the anime is doing by showing their relationship when they were kids.
