豆知識：イリヤのフルネームの最初のローマ字表記は「Ilyasfeel von Einzbren」だったんだ。
奈須は彼女の名前と「ヴェール」（第三魔法を使うときに着るドレス）や「Heaven’s Feel」（「ヴェール」の間違った綴りで、「天を掴む」というアイデアをも喚起する）に関する深い言葉遊びをしようとしてたらしいけど、カタカナ表記以外では全く意味が通じないので諦めたみたいだ。
Fun fact: The original romanization of Illya’s full name was “Ilyasfeel von Einzbren”.
Nasu was apparently trying to do some deep word play involving her name, the word “veil” (the dress she wears when using the Third Magic) and Heaven’s “Feel” (misspelling of “veil” that also evokes the idea of “grasping the heavens”), only to give up on it because it makes no sense what so ever outside of katakana spellings.

Illya is German. In the German language, the letter “v” sounds more like “fv” would in English. It’s not just Japanese Engirsh, the word play works in regular English/German as well.
