あらすじ 第2幕 「いたずら狼と笑えない冗談」
ホロを遥か北の故郷へと送り届けることになったロレンス。
次の目的地へと向かう途中、土砂降りの雨に遭った二人は、雨宿りのため教会で一夜を過ごすことに。
濡れた身体を乾かし、ロレンスが大広間の宿泊者と談笑していたところ、ゼーレンと名乗る駆け出しの商人から、胡散臭い儲け話を持ち掛けられる。

ホロの声がなんか違うんだよな。同じ声優なんだけど、声が高すぎてキュートすぎる。なんていうか、「怖い」って感じがしないし、「リーダー感」が薄れてる感じ。前のホロは「女性」って感じだったけど、新しいホロは「少女」って感じかな。そんな不満点がある。
My main gripe is Holo’s voice: same VA but it’s too high/cutesy, and for lack of a better term Holo feels less “intimidating” or “in-charge” as a result. Old Holo was a women, new Holo is a girl, kind of that feeling.

Yep, in this episode it was quite noticeable, in the old anime Holo sounded more mature, elegant, serious, sarcastic and wiser I think?
There was definitely a change in Holo’s interpretation, maybe she is like that in the novel… but I don’t know.

正直言うと、昔の番組の色使いのほうがずっと良かったよね。抑えられたトーンで、コントラストは控えめだけど暗めの画像がちょうど良い感じだった。新しい番組では、色をもう少し控えめにしてほしいな。
I will admit, the color palate of the old show looked a lot nicer. The subdued tones, low contrast but dark imagery just felt right. I hope the new show tunes down the colors a tad.

正直、ストーリーで最大の矛盾点は、ロレンスが南の方のおとぎ話でなんとなくヨイツの話を知っていたことだよな。こんな北の方では誰もその場所のこと聞いたことないのに。
Honestly the biggest plothole in the story to me is that Lawrence somehow knew the tale of Yoitsu through some fairy tale from way down south, when nobody this far north has ever heard of the place.

Holo flipping out because “you knew all along” was silly too, it would make more sense for her to think he found out only the day before he received the letter. If they have a stupid fight like this every single volume I think I’m going to have to stop reading this shit.

ロレンスが実際に知ってたことを隠してたわけだから、彼女が感情的になるのは理解できるよな。それでも、彼女はすぐに許しちゃったけど。
I can understand her getting emotional over it, especially since Lawrence did in fact hide that he knew, regardless of how long. And she was very quick to forgive him too.

昔のアニメの方が演出が明らかに上手いんだよ、暖炉の前のシーンを比べてみれば一目瞭然。
昔の商人は実際にうなずいて眠そうな妻をちらっと見るし、怪しい奴が聞き耳を立ててるショットもある。部屋や構図もちゃんと見えて、新しい方がクソみたいに暗すぎるわけじゃない。細かいジェスチャーもあるし。
あんまり懐古厨に見られたくないんだよ。
The direction in the old show is plainly better just from comparing how that scene in front of the fireplace goes.
Merchant in the old one actually takes a glance at his nodding wife realizing she’s sleepy, there’s a shot of the shady guy listening in, you actually see the room and the composition instead of shit being dark as hell in the new one, there’s little gestures here and there.
