　　あらすじ　　＃55　　「聖魔激突」
テンペストへの道中リムルの考案したラーメンや街道を見て、リムルが本気で人と魔物の共存を望んでいると知るヒナタ。

だが意に反して部下レナードがテンペストに侵攻する。

I see that you have never ever eaten any good Ramen in your life. However I would agree that the Gyoza part is exaggerated, relatively speaking.
Still, this is not just plain rice we are talking about here.

ゴブリンが帝政ドイツのヘルメット被ってるのはちょっと滑稽だな。もしかして、著者は明治時代の日本がヨーロッパから学んで自力で立ち上がったのに触発されたのかも？

im more excited than i thought about the anime showing finished roads and all of the stuff described in the LN.
the imperial german helmets on goblins are a bit silly. maybe fuse got inspired by meiji japan pulling themselves up by copying from europe?

I might be nitpicking here but why the fuck are those things placed right in the middle of the road instead of between the lanes or at least by the sides?

道の端に置かないのは理にかなってる。なぜなら、時間が経つにつれて植物や土で覆われてしまい、定期的に掃除しないといけなくなるからだ。でも、道の真ん中に置かない理由は、道の真ん中にきれいに整えられた生垣を持ちたいだけのようなもので、あまり意味がないんだよな。

It makes sense to not put them at the sides because they could get covered in vegetation and dirt over time and would have to be cleaned pretty regularly, but there’s really not much of a point in not putting them in the middle aside from them just wanting to have nicely trimmed hedges in the middle of the road.

リムルとヒナタが互いに大きく誤解しているわけではないと思うんだよね。二人とも悲観的になって最悪の事態を想定しているだけで、そのシナリオではそれが最善の選択となるからそうしているだけ。
ヒナタは、リムルが善人で自分に害を与える意思がないと本当に信じているかのように振る舞っている。敵対的な領域に単身で行こうとしたし、断れないと言った4人だけを同行させた。
一方で、リムルがヒナタを大勢で襲ってくるための陽動だと本当に思っていたら、躊躇なく彼らを殺すだろう。でも、実際には彼らを眠らせることで対応している。それは、リムルがヒナタが害意を持っていないと考えているからだ。
本当に、二人とも「最善を期待して、最悪に備える」状態なんだよね。

I don’t think that Rimuru and Hinata actually misunderstand each other that much, they’re both just acting pessimistic and are assuming the worst out of each other, but they’re only doing that because it’s basically the best choice for them to make in this scenario.
Hinata is basically acting entirely as if she truly believes that Rimuru is a good person and means her no harm, as she wanted to go alone to theoretically hostile territory, and only allowed 4 people to join her because they wouldn’t give up.
On the other side, if Rimuru actually thought that Hinata was just acting as a diversion for the larger group to come in and fight him, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill them, but instead he’s just putting them all to sleep because he think that Hinata actually means no harm.
Really they’re both just “hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst”.

I like how the squad of literal immortal super soldiers who will heal completely from any injury no matter how severe are kind of low on the power level in this series.

彼女マジで可愛いわ、それが全てだよ。
漫画では見た記憶がないんだけど、アニメの進行状況よりちょっと先読んだくらいで（その時点で翻訳されてなかったか、そもそももっと先はなかったかのどっちかだけど）、ヒナタが再びリムルに会いに行くって話は読んだんだよね。でも彼女のことは覚えてないな。
たぶん、そんなに重要じゃないキャラだったから忘れちゃったんだと思う。

She is a fucking cute, that is what she is.
I don’t remember her in the manga, though I haven’t read much past the part the anime is right now (either there wasn’t more or it wasn’t translated at the time), I did read this whole thing with Hinata coming to meet Rimuru again was and I don’t remember her.
Could be she was just a pretty minor character and I forgot.

確認してみたら、本当に彼女はいなかった（実際、マンガデックスが1年くらい新しい章を投稿していなかったことにも気づかなかった）。
彼女ってアニメオリジナルキャラなの？（もしそうなら何の理由で？）それとも、ライトノベルのキャラで、漫画が飛ばしただけ？

I went to check and she really wasn’t there (I actually hadn’t even noticed mangadex hadn’t posted new chapters in like a year).
Is she an anime only (if so for what reason?) or a LN character that the manga skipped?

誤解を解いた後に風呂に入るシーンや、ヴェルドラがリムルとお互いの背中を洗い合いたがる部分に、1話丸ごと使ってほしいな。

I hope a full episode is dedicated to the part where they bathe after clearing up the misunderstanding and Veldora wants to wash each other’s backs with Rimuru.
